Juicy Tip: Hamburgers

If you’re like me, you can’t live without meat.. AT ALL.  I LOVE hamburgers but they’re looked down on for being so unhealthy. Which in most cases can be true. If you go to McDonald’s or Burger King… then sure those are some pretty unhealthy burgers.

You don’t have to rule things out of your diet completely. If you want a juicy burger, grill out at home. Go to the store, (Laura’s Beef is what I recommend), and get some organic lean ground beef and make your own patties. Swap out the ketchup, mayo or bbq sauce and put some spicy mustard on top. Add fresh tomato, lettuce, pickles… grill some onions and mushrooms to add. And you don’t HAVE to have cheese. Put all that on a whole grain whole wheat bun and you’re set for a healthy craving.

*You can even swap out beef for turkey. Turkey is leaner and to me has more flavor. And if you must have fries, don’t get the frozen ones from the store. Get fresh potatoes or sweet potatoes. Peel and dice/cut them however, drizzle in a little olive oil, salt & pepper and bake in the oven at 375 degrees for about 20-30 min.

:)… Laura
